The Memorial Park of Anti-Japanese Veterans in Zhejiang
The Memorial Park of Anti-Japanese Veterans in Zhejiang is a patriotism education base in Zhejiang established to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, so that the souls of the Zhejiang anti-Japanese War veterans scattered around the country can return to their homeland, and the people of hometown can always remember. The planned area of the park covers 3,000 square meters, with a depth of 77 meters from north to south and a monument height of 9.18 meters to remind the future generations not forget the national humiliation. The park consists of merits monument, large wall carvings, main square, memorial sculptures and memorial tombs, with a total investment of nearly 10 million yuan. During the event, all the anti-Japanese War veterans who were from Zhejiang or worked in Zhejiang for a long time and other anti-Japanese patriots can be buried in the Memorial Park and enjoy the corresponding preferential treatment. The Memorial Park was completed in August 2015. On September 9th, a large-scale public sacrifice event of soldiers of Zhejiang killed in the anti-Japanese War was held. The park has a Martyrs Monument of Eastern Zhejiang Anti-Japanese Base of the New Fourth Army, Monument of Killed Soldiers of Zhejiang in Hunan Changsha Battle, Monument of Killed Soldiers of Zhejiang in Hubei Zaoyi Battle and other theme monuments.
